NCEG collects only what it needs to run the league, never sells member data, and keeps contact details away from other members. This notice covers the NCEG website and members area.
What we collect and who sees it

How we use it
- To run your account, the curriculum, grading, badges, rankings and the team directory.
- To contact you about your team, events and your account.
- To text you, only if you opted in. Reply STOP to opt out at any time.
- To feature your work or event photos, only if you opted in to #ShowYourWork or the media release.
- To improve the program and report anonymous, combined results to funders and partners.
Who we share it with
- Service providers that run the Site and payments: Wix (hosting, accounts, data), Give Butter (donations and dues) and Google (lesson materials). They handle data only to provide their service.
- Your school, only when needed for team compliance (for example, a faculty adviser confirming membership).
- When the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.
We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for others' advertising.
Your choices
- Edit your member card at any time on My profile.
- Change your texting or media release choice, get a copy of your data, or ask us to correct it, by emailing chapters@nationalceg.org.
- Close your account and have your profile removed from the directory by emailing us. Records we must keep, such as donation and dues records, are kept as the law requires.
Retention and security
We keep account and member data while your account is active and for 2 years after you leave, so alumni records and credits stay accurate. After that, we delete it or remove anything that identifies you. Data is stored with Wix and protected by their security controls and by access limits we set. No system is perfectly secure, so tell us right away if you suspect a problem.
Age
The Site and member accounts are for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have, we delete it.
